Editorial Policy
Allure Clinic publishes independent educational information for readers making choices about skin, skincare and wellbeing. This policy describes the standards used to prepare material for the journal.
Evidence and scope
Guides use directly relevant sources, including NHS information, dermatology organisations, regulators and research literature. A respected source is not sufficient by itself: the cited page must support the point being made. We distinguish general care advice from evidence about a specific product or procedure.
We explain uncertainty, risks and limitations. We do not promise treatment results, diagnose readers or present cosmetic care as a cure for serious illness. Jurisdiction-specific information is identified rather than treated as uniform across the UK.
Authorship and review
The Allure Editorial Team is an organisational byline. It does not claim that a doctor wrote or reviewed an article. Individual contributors and clinical reviewers are named only when their identities, roles and relevant credentials have been verified. A medical-review label requires a real review of the particular article.
Use of artificial intelligence
AI tools assist with drafting, organisation, implementation and illustrative imagery. AI output is not itself evidence. Source links, factual claims, publication details and image descriptions require verification before an article is approved for release. Generated images are illustrations, not patient photographs or clinical outcomes.
Dates and corrections
New material uses its actual first-publication date. Historical dates are retained only when reliable evidence supports a restoration. Meaningful updates are identified honestly. We do not backdate new articles to create an apparent publishing history.
Commercial transparency
Advertising and affiliate relationships must be disclosed where they apply. Payment must not be represented as independent clinical evidence, and promotional rankings must not be passed off as objective assessments. Read the advertising disclosure.
